LGBTQIA+ people often experience widespread and systematic discrimination from health care organizations, government agencies, and society in general. Institutional and social inequities put members of these communities in extreme danger. This oppressive environment creates barriers to accessing safe and affirming housing, health care and supporting services, often resulting in high rates of homelessness, substance use, and untreated medical and mental health needs.
The team at Outside In understands that every LGBTQIA+ person's experience is unique. We provide gender-affirming housing, health care, and social services to all of our fellow human beings. For more than 50 years, we've been committed to welcoming everyone, especially our most vulnerable neighbors, to our health clinic and youth services programs. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. We're here to celebrate and help people on their journey to live a full life.
