Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So, last year I turned 50 - I’m still not entirely sure how that happened - but it did - bang smack in the middle of lockdown. The only thing more depressing that being 50 - is being 50 in lockdown and not even getting to celebrate or commiserate the milestone with anyone. And now, I am even older and I have decided that the time has come to get fit again, and find the spark that once resided in me - the year for challenge, things that take me outside of my comfort zone and give me a focus. -So, the Cotswold Challenge is the first, I hope, of many such events.
So the challenge is 110 Km over two days - a marathon a day - along the glorious South Coast. . Fitting in any kind of long practice walks to date has been an impossibility - but I am hoping as the evenings draw out that I will have a bit more time. And I want to raise money for Parkinson’s - a horrid disease that is close to the heart of our family and could so easily be at the centre of yours too. 1 in 37 people alive today will be diagnosed in their lifetime. It is the fastest growing neurological condition in the World - and there is no cure. So please dig deep and sponsor me what you can to help me achieve my target of £1000.
