Story
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Anyone who knows me knows of my love of animals and especially dogs. It is for this reason that I am running a half marathon on behalf of the Dogs Trust. (Only animals could make me run 13.1 miles!)
The Royal Parks Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 12th October 2014, starting and finishing in Hyde Park. I will be one of 16,000 runners taking in the spectacular sites of the capital and four beautiful Royal Parks.
The Dogs Trust mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.
Each year they care for around 16,000 dogs at 19 rehoming centres around the UK. No healthy dog is ever put to sleep.
Dogs Trust also offers;
🐾 Education officers: give classroom presentations based on important aspects of safety around dogs and responsible dog ownership.
🐾 Freedom project: helps pet owners fleeing domestic violence by fostering their animals while they restart their lives.
🐾 Hope project: gives preventative veterinary care to dogs of homeless people.
🐾 They advise the government on any matters concerning dog ownership.
These are just a few projects that Dog Trust undertakes. For more information please go to www.dogstrust.org.uk
The Dogs Trust rely on the kind generosity of the public to make this possible.
All donations, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated by myself and Dogs Trust! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
