Story
It's easy to feel removed from the harsh reality that many children and families face around the world. That's why I've decided to "Walk a day in their shoes".
I will walk for 12 hours around the Auckland isthmus (approx 40km). I will walk in the shoes of:
- economic refugees who are trying to walk from Central America to the USA.
- child labourers who walk along the highways of Latin America picking up recyclables.
- parents who carry their children while they work each day in Latin America.
I will be doing this to raise much needed funds for NPH New Zealand, a wonderful charity that helps vulnerable children and families across Latin America.
Funds raised will help vulnerable children, youth and families supported by NPH Guatemala. The communities where our students are living are battling with Covid19 and the Ministry of Health has not allowed students to come back to school yet.
That's why NPH is doing their best to support these kids through educational resources, phone tutoring, counselling and food
packages. At the same time NPH is fully supporting vulnerable children and youth who can't live with their families.
Thanks for your support.
