Story
This all started out fairly innocently enough. I started running as a means of losing some weight a couple of years ago. Because I've tried running before and never kept it up, I decided that a long-term goal was in order. So I decided that I would try and run my first marathon before I turned 30.
When my friend Imran was shot in Afghanistan, I felt for a brief moment the possibilities of what could have happened. We are extremely blessed that Imran was able to recover from his injuries.
Whilst he was still in the rehabilitation phase, I suggested to him that he should run the marathon with me and that we could raise money for soldiers who were not as fortunate as he had been.
And so here we are. We will be running in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon and are raising funds for ABF, The Soldier's Charity. Every penny we raise will help to make a difference in the lives of those who have given for us. Please help us to help them.
