Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been working for UHB Liver Unit for nearly 17 years, as a PA to several consultants, and have come to realise the importance of raising awareness of liver disease and raising money for liver research. There are many clinical trials under way and, if successful, these will lead not only to treatment for liver disease but will also pave the way for similar treatments for other diseases.
Painting is a long-term hobby of mine which has now turned into something that could help me raise funds for this cause, with your help. For many years I created fine art drawings using pastel pencils, but in recent years I have moved on to acrylic abstract paintings using different fluid art techniques, often with added fine art detail. I will be auctioning off most of the acrylic paintings that I have accumulated.
This will be a 'silent auction', which basically means that you tell me how much you would like to bid, with your name and email address, or mobile number, and I enter these details in a logbook. Then I will let you know if you are the highest bidder by the end of the auction day. There is a minimum price for each painting, covering my material costs: large pictures start at £30 and smaller pictures start at £10 (prices shown beneath a photograph of each painting on the online gallery below). Anything extra will go directly to the Liver Foundation Trust Fund.

AUCTION DATE AND VENUE: The paintings will be displayed on Friday 5th October at 10am - 2pm, in the main atrium of the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Of course, if you just wish to donate, feel free to do so. You can email me to place a bid before the event, or write your details in the logbook on auction day.
