BBC radio 4 Christmas 🎄 appeal, 6 December 2020
As the days get colder and the nights draw in, thousands of people who are experiencing homelessness or are vulnerably housed become more at risk in the UK. Hosting a Sunday Gathering is a simple way to raise urgently needed funds to help them.

Story

For the last 6 years I have been taking part in the Christmas Appeal organized by Saint Martin in the Fields together with the BBC Radio 4.

Usually by this time of year,  there is a group of us taking calls from donors in a center; but because of Covid we are having to do things differently.

Saint Martin in the Fields has a special place in my heart. They do incredible work, not only for their local parish, but also for the wider community in London and much further afield.

This year they have been even more active in helping people experiencing homelessness in our city and helping them find a way out of their situation.

As we all know , 2020 has been a year like no other .... more and more people are requiring their services and support whilst their income streams have been hit hard (concerts , cafe)

So please, if you can, help them, help others to find a key to home by making a Just Giving donation.

Contributions of any value are welcome.

About the campaign

As the days get colder and the nights draw in, thousands of people who are experiencing homelessness or are vulnerably housed become more at risk in the UK. Hosting a Sunday Gathering is a simple way to raise urgently needed funds to help them.

About the charity

The money we raise directly supports people in three ways: The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, a day and night centre in London; the Vicar’s Relief Fund, offering crisis grants throughout the UK; and the Frontline Network, supporting those who help people away from homelessness across the UK.
