I have chosen 2015 as the year to complete not 1, not 2 but 3 of the UK's biggest challenge events.
26th April:
The London Marathon (26.2 mile run)
2nd August:
London-Surrey 100 (100 mile bike)
9th August:
The London Triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run)
I'm doing all this to put my body on the line for the charity I have dedicated my life to since I started work there 6 years ago.
Every day of every week I see and hear stories of the children and families that are supported by Caudwell Children, and the difference that support makes to their lives.
The charity has seven core projects designed to provide vital practical and emotional support to families caring for a disabled child. Families who can't afford to get the additional help they need from anywhere else.
I've seen children's aspirations change as they've realised that with a little bit of help they can achieve the same goals and potential as anyone else.
I've seen families re-connect after the relentless hospital visits and care needs of one child have threatened to tear them apart.
I also see the genuine care in which the dedicated team at Caudwell Children deliver these services to ensure every penny donated works as hard as it possibly can to help as many children and families as possible.
Thanks to a generous private benefactor, all of the charity's general administration and management costs are covered - so none of the money you donate is used on wages, rent, lighting etc etc. The money you donate is used to do exactly what you want it to do...change lives.
If you want to know more about the charity please get in touch with me. Or visit our website at www.caudwellchildren.com
I will keep you updated with how the training is going and of any special events that may be coming up.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and supporting my 2015 Triple Challenge.
With kindest regards and many thanks
Ben
