Story
As some of you may know, during late summer 2020 I decided to get into cycling with some encouragement from my friends Mike & Ben, I took to it like Bambi on Ice and after a year of trundling around Essex periodically I thought it would be a good idea to ride from London to Paris with not much time to prepare for it!
I have never been considered a fit person and we have a regimented training strategy put together by Ben as part of his training to become a cycling coach. Having the incredible support group of Mike & Ben alone will get us there!
In May 2022 Myself, Mike, and Ben will be riding from London to Paris over 2days to raise money for the Isabel Hospice.
We will be setting off from Tower Bridge, London on Friday 27th May around 10:30/11am with the plan to be arriving in Paris in the late afternoon / early evening at the Arc de Triomphe on Saturday 28th May.
The route will be:
Day 1 - Depart London around 10:30/11am to Newhaven, this is a 100KM leg to the Newhaven Ferry, we will then arrive in Dieppe around 10pm where we will stay locally.
Day 2 - We will then awaken early doors on Day 2 for Dieppe to Paris, this approx 200KM leg will get us into Paris for late afternoon/early evening all being well.

The idea to do this came about from the circumstances in which my father was unfortunately diagnosed with incurable cancer of the throat and neck in November 2021.
The Isabel Hospice are an invaluable service in East Herts who have personally helped my family with at-home care and support whilst my Dad gets to grips with this.
They are an incredible support service with 24hour support for those who need it and I appreciate every penny we can raise for them!
Isabel Hospice provides palliative support to the 370,000 people who live in eastern Hertfordshire.Hospice care is about helping people to live well for as long as possible and have a good death in the place of their choice when the time comes. Without your help, we could not make this possible for our patients and their families. Each year we care for approx 2,000 people but we know there are even more people that need our help.
