Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
In late July, early August this year I will be running from London to Leeds in order to raise money for Help for Heroes.
All those who know me will know how slim and built like a racing snake I am so it should be a piece of cake (not!).
Training is going well and the roads of Scarborough have a few more potholes in them, but it's all in a good cause.
I'm looking for help and contributions from friends, colleagues and all the many mighty Leeds Utd fans out there to help me get to my target.
Any corporate sponsorship would be more than welcome and I'd be happy to promote that your business has contributed.
I'll be blogging about my progress to keep you all updated (and to give you a laugh !) - so wish me luck and get donating!
************Update ********
The dates for the run are as follows:
29 Jul Emirates to Vicarage Road (Watford)
30 Jul Vicarage Road to Kenilworth Road (Luton)
31 Jul Kenilworth Road to Stadium MK (Milton Keynes)
1 Aug Stadium MK to Sixfields (Northampton)
3 Aug Daventry to Ricoh Arena (Coventry)
4 Aug Ricoh to Walker Stadium (Leicester)
5 Aug Loughborough University to Pride Park (Derby)
6 Aug Pride Park to B2Net Stadium (Chesterfield)
8 Aug B2Net to Oakwell (Barnsley)
9 Aug Oakwell to Elland Road (home of the mighty White Gods).
I'm hoping to finish on the pitch prior to the Bradford City game at 1945 (to be confirmed).
Many thanks to all those who have donated so far - it really does make a difference when you're grinding out the hard yards in training.
There'll be a daily blog to let you know how each leg of the run has gone and I'll put a few photos up (if I can find ones that won't scare the kids).
Cheers
Steve (ps don't forget Gift Aid!)
