On Wednesday 24th May 2017 my Grandad, Terry Lovegrove a lifelong Tottenham fan, received the devastating news that he had Prostate Cancer.
With great courage and determination he received THREE courses of injections and completed TWENTY days of radiotherapy treatment. On Wednesday 29th November 2017 Terry’s Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test result reduced from 9.7 to the lowest possible score of 0.1. His treatment is still ongoing for the next THREE years in the form of injections.
Prostate Cancer UK provided the help Terry needed and also the ongoing research into fighting this deadly disease. Without public donations none of this would have been possible.
£500 can pay for the training of TWO GP’s to spot signs and symptoms of Prostate Cancer.
£1,000 can support ONE weeks worth a research into the best treatment for advanced Prostate Cancer.
To raise money for such a great cause I have organised FIFTY participants, including myself, to cycle SEVENTY miles on Saturday 12th May 2018, starting from West Ham’s London Stadium, ending at Tottenham’s White Hart Lane, visiting every London Premier League and English Football League football stadium en route.
So please donate as much money as possible for a great event that is raising awareness, as well as money, to help BEAT CANCER.
Cancer has no colours.
Cancer does not discriminate.
Cancer will not win.
