Story
In memory of my Grandpa, Malcolm, I will be participating in the Memory Walk in London on Sunday 16th October 2022, and will be raising money for Alzheimer’s Society.
My Grandpa was a kind and dedicated family man; a devoted husband, loving father and treasured grandfather. He was an optician by profession, with a great love of music, walking and gardening.
He had an incredible zest for life and though he was restricted in later life due to a stroke and vascular dementia, I will always remember him for his passion, good humour and the loving companionship he had with my Grandma, Ann.
At 81 years old, he sadly passed away at home on 20th May. He was such a cherished member of our family and he will be greatly missed. Though we mourn this sad loss, we are grateful for what he meant and will continue to mean to us all. I will be incredibly grateful for any donation, and look forward to walking in his honour, with my boyfriend, Joe, on 16th October this year.
