Who do you walk for? This year thousands of people will walk for everyone affected by dementia. By taking part in Memory Walk, you can help us raise as much money as possible so that we can support families living with dementia now and in the future.

Story

I can’t think of a better way to say, dementia sucks. If you know or knew someone with it, maybe a parent or grandparent, you’ll know what I mean. Chances are you do, since nearly a million people in the UK have it.

There’s no cure right now BUT we can help people with dementia live their best lives. Dementia Advisor helplines, innovative products to help people with dementia stay independent, and petitions to the government are just a few of the ways the Alzheimer's Society does that.

That’s why this September I’m taking part in the London memory walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, to help people like my Nan who had vascular dementia before we lost her a few years ago.
