This October I will be running the London Marathon as part of TEAM RICK.

My Dad's best friend and close family friend, Rick Morel, had been fighting Bowel & Liver cancer over the last 5 years and was so incredibly strong, positive, and inspiring to everyone around him during his journey. Unfortunately, Rick passed away in July 2021 after an incredibly hard fought battle with cancer. 

Whilst Rick was battling Cancer, having chemotherapy almost every other week, as well as extensive radiotherapy treatment. The way he dealt with this on a daily basis with strength, courage and positivity is nothing short of incredible and hugely inspiring not only for me but for the rest of the runners in Team Rick.

Bowel Cancer is the fourth most common cancer, the second biggest cancer killer and a disease that has also affected my family. 

The next few months are going to be full of hard work and grit to prepare for the marathon.
