Story
As I'm sure I have told you at some point, last year I almost died from viral encephalitis (my brain got infected - nice).
When I arrived at King's, I was completely helpless: I didn't know my name, couldn't walk or feed myself, or do anything really except say "yes" (apparently - I lost 4 days' of my memory). Sidenote: I can't thank my flatmate, Jason, or my brother, Jake, enough for taking me to A&E / making sure I got treated.
The staff at King's not only saved my life; they were also incredibly friendly and attentive to both me and my family throughout my stay for which I will always be grateful. I am taking on the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon to support King's College Hospital Charity as a small token of thanks to them.
Any support you can give would be massively appreciated - we all know that the NHS needs every penny it can get - and you'll literally be helping to save lives which should make you feel good about yourself!
Thanks!
