Story

I am taking on the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon to support King's College Hospital Charity! I am running for King's for the amazing care they gave both Doug and to my mum Pat.

In October of 2022, I rushed Doug to Lewisham Hospital's A and E department as we knew something was seriously wrong, once we were there they told us he was having a heart attack.  After being given care at Lewisham he was bluelighted to King's College Hospital, where at 2 am in the morning he was fitted with his first stent by an amazing team.  The team all live with within a 15 min call area from the hospital so were there waiting when we arrived from Lewisham.

He was then moved to the Victoria and Albert ward where for just over a week he received the most amazing care.  He went back to King's in December where his second stent was fitted successfully.  Since then he has been under the care of King's and his people are shocked to even know he suffered a heart attack.  We just can't thank King's enough.

My mum in June of this year was also bluelighted to Kings, her care was normally with QE, however she was looked after so well and got amazing care, once again we can't thank the amazing staff at King's for their hardwork.

King's is also the home of London's air ambulance.

Please help me in a small way to support this wonderful hospital and for all the hard work they do.
