London Bridge's £100 challenge! · 4 April 2020 ·

During the COVID-19 outbreak, St John is actively supporting ambulance services, hospitals and communities to protect life and health through this worrying and uncertain period.

Story

Martin Houghton-Brown, CEO of St John Ambulance, has challenged everyone in the organisation to try and raise £100. Why? Because St John Ambulance is training its First Aiders in how to care for Covid-19 patients, and it is still deploying its volunteers in hospitals across the country, including the NHS Nightingale in London. Volunteers are also giving up their time to respond to 999 calls, as NHS ambulance trusts are under a lot of pressure at the moment.

However, due to public training courses and public events that hire St John for medical event cover being cancelled, St John has lost a major part of its income. Yet it doesn't stop doing everything it can to help the public.

Without St John, many public events would not be able to go ahead. That's why we need to ensure it is still there in the future. Help us, to help you.
