Inspired by reading the book "Born to Run", our London-based reading group decided to train and run together at the Wimbledon 10K 14 March, 2010. Some of us are regular runners, some are complete newbies. We'll be joined in the run by some of our book club 'fans', too!

Books have played such an important role in our lives - opening up opportunities, expanding our world view, and deepening friendships. The money we raise will be used to fund scholarships for Room to Read's Girls' Education program in the hopes of providing more girls with educational opportunities.

Room to Read partners with local communities throughout the developing world to provide quality educational opportunities by establishing libraries, creating local language children's literature, constructing schools, and providing education to girls. Through the opportunities that education can provide, they strive to break the cycle of poverty, one child at a time.Just £170 provides a one year educational scholarship - we have set a stretch goal to provide 10 scholarships!
