Story
In 2013, my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, after visiting the doctor for a routine check-up. Thankfully, after years of treatment, he was given the all clear in 2017.
I'm running the London Marathon to raise awareness about one of the most prevalent cancers affecting men today. Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will face prostate cancer? That's a staggering statistic. It means that every eighth person you know—be it a dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle, or mate—could be impacted by this disease.
But here's the good news: there's a simple blood test that can help detect prostate cancer early. By raising awareness and encouraging men to take this test, we can catch the disease in its early stages and improve outcomes for those affected.
Thank you in advance for any spare change you can give. It really means a lot to me and my family. I hope I can do everyone proud on the 21st April!
