Walking, running and cycling, 29 May 2021
Over the weekends of 29-30 May and 5-6 June, we are inviting all our colleagues to walk, run, cycle, ride or sail a total of 2,966km: the distance between Oslo and Madrid, the most northerly and southerly of our 12 offices around Europe.

Story

Founded in June 2020, the Kepler Cheuvreux Foundation has distributed £1.5m to medical and food bank charities in the UK and Europe during the pandemic.

To celebrate its first anniversary, colleagues throughout the firm were challenged to cover a total of 2,966km over the weekends of 29-30 May and 5-6 June. This is the distance between Oslo and Madrid, the most northerly and southerly of our 12 offices around Europe.

The 10 members of our team walked, ran and cycled a total of 500km, including the 125km Capital Ring on a boris bike in a day (this had never been done before).

The funds raised will support food banks in the UK and Europe as lockdown lifting further exposes the social impact of the pandemic. The UK beneficiaries are City Harvest (cityharvest.org.uk) and Felix's Kitchen (thefelixproject.org). Please help us to raise as much as possible. Thank you!

About the campaign

Over the weekends of 29-30 May and 5-6 June, we are inviting all our colleagues to walk, run, cycle, ride or sail a total of 2,966km: the distance between Oslo and Madrid, the most northerly and southerly of our 12 offices around Europe.

About the charity

Founded in 1997, the Kepler Cheuvreux Group is a leading pan-European financial services company active in research, intermediation and advisory. With operations in 13 countries, the group is highly sensitive to the social and health impact of the coronavirus crisis, and has prioritised the protection of its employees and clients from the start. In June 2020, the group went a step further by creating the Kepler Cheuvreux Foundation, to contribute substantially and concretely to the common good, during and beyond the pandemic. The Foundation actively involves the group's employees, clients and partners and, in accordance with its own non-profit status, will support only non-profit organisations in Europe and the UK. These include healthcare service providers especially in critical contexts, charities supporting those most affected by the social and economic consequences of the pandemic today and by deprivation in the longer term, healthcare research bodies and organisations caring for the elderly or disabled.
