We fund research and raise awareness to shine a light on Lewy body dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sadly my father passed away from Lewy Body Disease two years ago.

Like a lot of people I had never heard of the disease but was surprised at how common it is. The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 in order to support research into DLB and to raise awareness and educate the public, the medical profession and those in health-care decision-making positions about the disease.

I'll be riding a motorcycle overland from London to Bangkok from May 2011 through Europe, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China and Laos, and hope to raise as much money as I can for this charity, so please help me help them by giving whatever you can.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.
