Welcome to the Nottingham takes on the Three Peaks Challenge! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In October 2022, I ran the London Marathon to help Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) fight meningitis and septicaemia. While training, so many people approached me to tell how meningitis had affected their lives - from strangers who saw my MRF t-shirt and friends who helped out at fundraising events, to my own mum. I realised that I wasn't ready to say I'd done enough: next summer, I'll be co-leading a team of fundraisers to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in a single expedition. Anything you donate goes directly to MRF (not to funding the trek!) and makes a real difference to the more than 2.5 million people affected globally this year.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
