Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since I started YouTube 3 years ago we've raised over £5000 for charity with 24 hour livestreams such as this one, and this year I'm determined to push that total past five figures. As you probably already know, my son Andy is autistic, so I'm fully aware of the daily challenges being part of an autism family can be - I gave up my career as a teacher in order to be his full-time carer.
We wouldn't be able to cope without the help of respite care and other services arranged by charities such as this one, and the autism awareness work they do is so very important. The most important thing for me about this charity is that they're not trying to "cure autism" - they're spreading a message of acceptance and understanding and helping people who need their help. We've got it very easy compared to some families and without the National Autistic Society I'm not how they'd survive - it really can be the difference between a child staying with their family or ending up in care.
I'm going to be streaming Football Manager 2019 on YouTube from 12pm on Saturday 1st December through to 12pm on Sunday 2nd December. This is the fourth charity stream I've done in 3 years - last year we raised over £4000 - I'd love to beat that figure this time around!
