I'm running the London Marathon, Bristol Half and doing a big charity sale (& some events to come!) over 2023 to do as much as I can to thank the Teenage Cancer Trust for everything they've done over the past year and raise as much money as I can to help young people fighting across the UK.

I've chosen to run for this specific charity as they really helped my girlfriend Beth last year and her time during treatment was made so much better under their care.

We are eternally grateful that she has now finished treatment and really want to give back so that other young people get to have the same support to help them through it.

Therefore, this year I hope to raise as much money as we I can for the charity so that they can help as many young people as possible.

Beth herself has experienced great pastoral care, access to a specialist TCT nurse, opportunities to connect with other young people fighting cancer and referrals to other financial, emotional and wellbeing charities.

This has involved things like free counselling, grants, having days out with other young people using the service like going to the commonwealth games and relaxing stays. As well as this, there have been simple check-ins with their staff and group calls with both peers and members of the team. They have all been invaluable methods of support in their own way :)
