Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Craig and I would like to try to raise money for SANDS, the leading stillbirth and neonatal death charity in the UK, in memory of our son in the stars, William. At 39 weeks pregnant and in labour, we were told his wee heart had stopped beating. He was born on the 24th March at 5:14am, perfect but forever sleeping. Stillborn yet still our precious baby boy who is very much loved.

In what has been a heartbreaking time for ourselves and our families, SANDS have provided much needed advice and support to guide us forward.

They provide bereavement support services both nationally and locally and work in partnership with health care professionals, trusts and health boards to offer a range of training programmes and bereavement care resources, ensuring that every bereaved parent and family receives the best possible care and support. They also promote and fund research to better understand the causes of baby deaths and saving babies’ lives. We have requested that all funds raised be attributed to Tayside SANDS in order to support local families, staff and resources.
