Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Logan was born 22nd Oct 2013 a wk later he was diagnosed with Down's syndrome, because of this he had a heart scan that identified a hole in his heart (Ventricular Septal Defect). After a few months of scans and medication we were told he would need surgery.
He went in for surgery on 4th Feb to repair the hole, due to the location of the repair he then required a pacemaker to be fitted a wk later. All this time we were able to stay in Eckersley house (behind LGI) that is run by Sick Children's Trust and is supported by CHSF.
But due to complications from a cold, Logan grew his angel wings 31st Oct 2014 with bronchopnuemonia.
Since then through grief we have found the strength to help give something back. We have raised £12515 and £8600 of that has gone to CHSF to help other parents and children when they need it the most.
So every year now, including the time he had his operation, we raise money through Wear Red Day.
Support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund on Friday 2 February 2018 and help children and adults born with congenital heart disease.
Your fundraising will help fund ground-breaking new equipment, resources, training and research as well as support for children and their families whenever they need it.
It’s so easy to take part, all you need to do is wear red!
At school? This is a great opportunity to bring pupils, teachers and school staff together for a brilliant cause. It’s free to run, and a hoot to take part!
At work? Team bonding is guaranteed with #WearRedDay, it doesn’t need to take up much time but can bring amazing returns.
Thank you all so much
