Story

The past few months have taken its toll on communities up and down the country and non-more so than our very own Hospice community. We are determined to continue to draw attention to the dedicated team here at Springhill Hospice as so many opportunities have been taken away from us through countless cancelled fundraising events.

One of these cancelled events included our very own super Nurses, Hilda and Paula, whose trek to India was cancelled. With this as our inspiration, 40 of us here at the Hospice have decided to put one foot in front of the other and challenge ourselves in raising £1000 for our amazing workplace.

We thought it would be a good idea to trek to India....virtually of course! India is 5003 miles away. With those staff who have signed up to this crazy challenge, this would total 15,000 steps a day, in which would take 16 days. But where's the challenge in that? So we will aim to do it in 14!

We start on Saturday 14th November and finish on 29th November. This will be done whilst complying fully to the up-to-date Covid-19 guidelines and our staff will be racking up their steps any way possible (walking, running, cycling).

Anything you can give at this time is hugely appreciated. Thank you!
