As a lockdown challenge I'm carrying Lizzy up the equivalent height of Mount Everest (3,404 flights of stairs / 44,240 steps).
While the Covid19 situation is hitting everyone hard the effect on the hospice sector is huge, and I'd like to raise as much as possible for Butterwick Hospice.
As we're climbing 3,404 flights it seems fitting to set an initial target of £340.4... If you want good value for your donation I'll complete this challenge again (solo) in June if we reach £3,404.
Lizzy is 9.5 months old now and weighs approximately 10kg.
Beyond simply carrying a 10kg weight up Everest, this 'Lizzyweight' is prone to being sick on me, soiling herself on me, throwing tantrums (including hitting me in the face), all while being the most precious cargo in the world meaning I've needed to be extra cautious on every step... just to make the challenge a little more challenging :).
We've set a goal of 3 weeks to complete this challenge as this means we're walking up the Empire State Building (approximately) every day.
As of writing we've completed 16 days. We're a little late setting up the fundraiser but we wanted to be sure we could hit achieve our goal.
