Story
As many of you know my husband Gerry was diagnosed with PCA - a very rare (trust him) early onset dementia in January 2019. Gerry is determined to live well with this condition and above all we want to raise awareness and if possible help in any way we can.. Gerry has volunteered to take part in trials taking place at UCL London (see The One Show BBC1 04.12.19)which hope to diagnose dementia much earlier than we can at the moment using 7T(Tesla) MRI scanners (big ones). We go for the first of these trials tomorrow. Early diagnosis being crucial to finding a cure. We are told that Gerry is the first from Scotland to do this. He wanted to be a spaceman and thinks this is the closest he will get...Gerry will also be water-skiing on New Years Day with his cronies from LLWSC to raise as much money as we can for Alzheimer Scotland who are doing so much to help find a cure.. Please give as much or as little as you can.
