Story
17, intrepid, some would say mad, members of the Denbigh Harriers running club are planning to run, walk and, if needs be, crawl the 176 miles of the Offa's Dyke Trail.
The route goes from Chepstow in South Wales to Prestatyn in North Wales and involves 28,000ft of ascent - almost as much as Mount Everest. It's going to take us five days and the training has already begun.
We're hoping to raise £10,000 for the British Red Cross who do a fantastic job providing emergency support internationally, nationally and locally including at large scale public and sporting events.
In North Wales, they have helped save lives by providing first aid at the scene as soon as a problem occurs. However, their defibrillators need replacing and so the money raised will be used to buy eight new defibrillators.
We will keep you updated on our progress and thank you for your support!
