Story
Last October, my daughter Lyla was born at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Unfortunately, Lyla was born with a rare health condition known as Chylothorax, which results in fluid accumulation around the lungs. As a result, Lyla, my partner, and I stayed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) for approximately seven weeks until she made a complete recovery.
During our time at the hospital, SSNAP played a vital role in ensuring Lyla's swift and thorough recuperation. They not only cared for Lyla but also supported our entire family, providing us with a huge amount of support as well as making sure we were well-nourished with an abundance of snacks.
To support SSNAP, I am participating in the Oxford Half Marathon on October 14, 2023. By doing so, I hope to contribute to the charity that helped us so much last year.
