*Race change from Cotswold 24 to Sublime Twenty4 as the former was cancelled with four days notice!
My mother in law, Jill, has Cystic Fibrosis. Jill turns 60 this year - an amazing achievement for someone with the condition - and, to celebrate, I thought I would do something big for the CF Trust.
On 3-4 August 2019 I will be taking on the mighty Sublime Twenty4-hour ultra race in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. It will be a test of determination, both mental and physical, which will push me to my limits.
My aim is to complete 100-miles within the time limit - a feat which earns the runner the title of "Centurion". I have taken on a 24-hr race before and managed 63-miles, so I know it will be really hard to find those extra 37-miles!!!
Please sponsor me all you can to make Jill's milestone even more special and to aid a great cause.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
