Story

As many of you will be aware in June-22, 8 of us took a trip to Lake Garda. What we thought wouldn't be your normal guys trip, low alcohol, beautiful surroundings, and relaxed turned out to be a trip with a story very few, hopefully, will match.

On a Saturday morning we went for a leisurely drive on rented mopeds and trikes. Fast forward a few hours and one of those trikes ended up down a cliff with a couple of the group having minor injuries, Callum having 14 broken ribs & James having, among other things, a bleeding lung, a broken spine and damaged spinal cord.

James & Callum pulled through however James required and still requires extensive therapy. However, in no small part thanks to the team at the Stanmore Spinal Centre, he is able to walk in short distances with crutches and there is still hope for further recovey.

The accident, the following days and months after created a group of people, some meeting for the first time, that are bound by more than friendship now. And we plan on regrouping, including James in a wheelchair, to complete this half marathon. Its going to be one interesting, emotional, race!
