Llanishen High School Community aims to travel to Patogonia!!
And here is why…
Llanishen High School are making the journey of 12,000km to Patagonia in aid of the Cardiff City Hospice, integrating into their 100 Heroes Challenge. City Hospice has provided love and care for many members of our community and is close to our heart. We at Llanishen High School want to put our ‘Heart & Sole’ into the 100 Heroes Challenge.
Patagonia is ‘A Home from Home,’ a small slice of Wales that lives on in Argentina, South America. A population of over 50,000 people living with the Welsh culture and speaking the Welsh language.
We have challenged ourselves as staff of Llanishen High School, calling on pupils, ex-pupils, parents and people of the wider community to help us run, walk, cycle, skate and scoot our way to Patagonia and raise as much money as possible for such a fantastic charity that helps so many!
Along the way, there will be some special visits to Ex-Pupils, none more so than a stop off in Rio, where ex-pupil Elinor Barker won a Gold Medal in the 2016 Olympics. Stay tuned to our Twitter Page and Mrs Parry’s weekly Blog for updates.
City Hospice - ‘Thank you so much for making the work of City Hospice possible. Your support will help us continue to provide specialist palliative care and support to patients and their families living with cancer and other life limiting conditions in Cardiff.’
