When I lost my sight, I thought I would not be able to use technology or the internet again. Through BCAB I discovered that blind and partially sighted people use technology all the time, and that the web makes it possible to do things independently - like shopping, banking or staying in touch with friends.
Without help from BCAB I would not have returned to work on the web, and my life would be a very different thing. Now it's my turn to help BCAB by raising money so they can continue to help blind and partially sighted people get the most out of technology and the internet.
Of all the madcap things a blind person who spends most of the time sitting at a desk could do, a tandem sky dive seemed like a perfectly good idea. I'll be throwing myself out of a plane at 13,000 feet over the skies of San Diego during the week of the International Technology and Persons with Disabilities conference.
Please help me raise money for BCAB. Thank you.
