Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m kinda selfish in many ways and not one for plugging sponsorship but when I seen ma old lady linda had signed up, I thought I too will get in on the action and tick off something for the f@*k it list whilst raising funds for Maggie’s Aberdeen
I was first diagnosed with melenoma in 2017 and used some counselling sessions back then, but in 2020 when I progressed to stage 3 during lockdown it was the first place I went for advice the staff in particular Meghan are so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Since learning about my progression in 2021 Maggies has been a regular part of our family support from drop in sessions, joining a few of the topic based sessions and currently part of a really supportive Melenoma group. You always leave maggies lighter than when you went in and a bit more oomph to keep on keeping on
I’m currently celebrating passing the one year/ technically two year 😖 mark living with a terminal diagnosis and having recently received news of a stable scan it feels like a great time to challenge myself in another way and contribute to raising money to a great cause and a life line for many.
