Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My amazing Dad, Rod Cox, past away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2017 which left the biggest hole in our family and is greatly missed. He showed so much strength and courage through such a terrible time. Dad absolutely loved to go on walks and used a lot of his spare time going on different walks around the country, sometimes alone, sometimes with mum, friends or the dogs but always with his camera in hand for nature pictures! It was also something he talked about doing with his grandchildren to encourage them to have a love for wildlife.
The Challenge
In September 2023 I am planning to use Dads strength and courage to trek through the Grand Canyon completing four breath taking treks. Day 1 - 10km, Day 2 - 18km, Day 3 - 9km and Day 4 - 15km. There are numerous physical factors to contend with as well as the fact of having to put up my own tent and being without hair straighteners!! My dad would have simply jumped at the chance of doing this which is why I have decided to do it for him...its going to be emotional!
If this doesn't make you want to sponsor me then just think of Seb who will be home alone with the two children for a week!
