Story
Sometimes when a friend makes a suggestion you just need to say yes.
My wonderful friend Suzanne lost her husband suddenly and tragically last year. Dan was a fitness fanatic so when Suzanne said she and her daughter Jess and others were going to do a triathlon in his memory I decided I wanted to get involved.
I'm not a triathlete, I'm a gentle jogger at best, I swim on holiday with the offer of a cocktail on the horizon and as for the cycling, well lets just say that me and bikes don't really see eye to eye. But like others in this group I'm 'Doing it For Dan' and fundraising for a lovely local charity that is close to Suzanne's family's heart. As they say:
“bibic offer holistic therapy to children and young adults, with neurological, behavioural and developmental challenges, enabling them to understand themselves and the world around them. They champion their perspective, helping others to see it too. Together they transform families’ lives so they can thrive.”
If you'd like to donate that would be amazing. If you want to come and cheer us on then the event is on Sunday 24th September. And if you'd like to wait at the finish line with a cushioned seat and a glass of champagne then I would really really appreciate it!
