Many of you will know that I lost my sister Melissa in November 2008 to Cystic Fibrosis. 

I am doing two fund raising events to raise as much money as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. 

Firstly, Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club is holding 'The Melissa Godfrey Memorial Sponsored Swim' on Monday 26th January at the Basingstoke Aquadrome.  Melissa was involved with the club throughout her life, learning to swim at the age of 3.  She was a swimmer and a teacher for the club. 

Secondly, I will be taking part in the Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday 15th March, along with many of Melissa's friends.  Always cheerful, Melissa's courage in the face of her illness was an inspiration to everyone.
