Story
Girls around the world experience shame and embarrassment when they start their period and struggle to access the support and information they need to be confident and comfortable during menstruation.
In Uganda over half of girls use improvised materials ranging from rags to corn husks and banana leaves to manage menstruation. In the UK, 1 in 10 girls have been unable to afford pads and receive no preparation before their first period. The shame of blood leaking through their skirts, boys calling them names, sores and infections makes girls all over the world hate being healthy young women.
We're taking action to end period poverty for good. Every £5 we raise will enable another girl to stay happy and healthy during her period.
