Story
Hi everyone!
I will be running my first ever marathon on April 12th and I would really appreciate your support.
I have progressed over the years from sprinting 100m and 200m for AFD athletics club, to running half marathons, and have now decided it's time to take on the challenge of running a marathon - 26.2 miles!
I will be running to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Charity in memory of my grandparents, one of whom lived with MS for many years, and the other who helped and supported her through the challenges of the condition.
MS is a condition of the central nervous system, and once diagnosed it stays with you for life. However, charities like the MS Society help to provide treatments and services which help manage the condition and its symptoms. The MS Society specifically funds world-class research, better treatments and services, better MS care, financial support for those with MS, local, telephone and online support and much more.
My aim is to raise £500 for this charity, so any amount of donation will be hugely appreciated. And my target time is to run a sub-4 hour marathon, which, considering my longest race used to be a 25 second 200m sprint, is a huge challenge!
Thanks in advance for all your support!
Lizzie.
