We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at age 28 in March 2008. It’s been a rough couple of years, but this year I will be taking part in Breast Cancer Care’s London Fashion Show on Wednesday 6th October 2010 at Grosvenor House Hotel, . I’d love for you to sponsor me to do this!

Anyone that knows me knows I am not your typical catwalk model, but I try never to say no to any new experience and stepping out onto the catwalk will be a chance to say I’m living life to the full, feeling feminine and happy and having fun after treatment and diagnosis!

I want to show everyone how fabulous I feel! I am determined to show other women that they can get through it. It is a fantastic way to show all my amazing friends and family how great they have made me feel through their support and love and that I am enjoying as much of life as possible!

Being involved in The Show has been an opportunity to meet other people who have been through a similar experience. Amongst the many emotions that come with having breast cancer, feeling isolated and lonely was one of the hardest things to deal with. Breast Cancer Care are there for you every step of the way and I want to show everyone what an amazing and supportive charity they are.

Myself and 24 other exceptional and inspiring models will be styled in a range of designer and high street outfits, with our hair transformed by Sassoon Salons and makeup expertly applied by long term supporters Estee Lauder, as we take to the catwalk. Two shows take place, one afternoon and one evening, with the aim of raising at least £500,000 to support the 46,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer in the every year.

The money raised from this year’s show will mean that Breast Cancer Care can continue to provide those diagnosed, and their friends and family, with free expert information and professional support when they need it most.

Ticket prices start from £65 and details can be found at www.breastcancercare.org.uk/theshow
