Fundraising for Oxfordshire Mind
I don’t usually do fundraising for my running events, but I think we can all agree that this year has been a little different to most!
Mental health Is an important issue and one that has affected many people this year even more so than usual.
Add to that the fact that many charities have lost their major sources of income with the cancellation of sporting events and fundraisers.
So.... I’m running the virtual London marathon in 3 weeks time! Running a marathon that I had not planned to run, and had not trained or prepared for, is going to hurt! It’s not going to get me a PB, it’s not going to be an impressive performance, and it’s not going to be pretty, but I’m going to get round one way or another!
I decided to do this 2 weeks ago but only downloaded a training plan yesterday. The good news is that taper starts tomorrow! 🙌
