Story
I've always wanted to go to the Lake District. I never thought I'd end up going because I'd entered a marathon up there!
As some of you may know, this time last year I ran my first half-marathon, something I never thought I was capable of. When I achieved this I found my own perceived limit shifted and so this is how I ended up entering a marathon a few months ago.
Training is underway and today (23rd feb) I completed my longest ever run of 15 miles. A long way to go and the legs are really feeling it, especially tackling all the hills we seem to live near!
I hope to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK and also for Brathay Trust who organise the marathon but don't take any of the entry fee. Brathay Trust help young people and children engage in their communities
