Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September 2021 I lost a dear friend to breast cancer - many of you will know Sarah's story - diagnosed in March 2020 and was already stage 4 at this time - a devastating blow to Sarah and all of us who love her, I talk about her in the present tense as I feel her presence is with us, and I know she will be with me when I run those 26.2 miles in October.
Sarah faced her cancer with so much bravery, yes there were some very dark times, how could there not ... but in the end she departed this earth with dignity and surrounded by love - Her voice and image is known to millions, as was part of her soul that she bared in her autobiography "Hear me out" ... for me she will always be my sazzer, my sozzle, my mate - We worked together (I was Girls Aloud's makeup artist) for 8 years and our friendship and love surpassed all of that - we shared good times, magnificent times and bad ... losing Sarah has been the worst.
So I finish by asking you to please donate to my page, The Christie was so important to Sarah - the Doctor's and nurses there looked after her with so much love and care right until the end - The Christie is the largest single site centre in Europe and the first UK centre to be credited as a comprehensive cancer centre - but it needs help so in Sarah's honour and for all the others suffering and recovering with Breast Cancer please give with love - lets beat cancer.
Thank you so much,
Much Love, Liz 🖤💫🖤
