George, very sadly, passed away on the 4th November 2010.

He had donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer since losing his wife, our Mum, Vera, nearly 14 years ago.

At the time Vera died, he didn't think he would last a week without her, having been married in 1950 they were life partners. 

Dad managed to get through the years without Mum but never stopped missing her. At times he would talk about Vera and his cherished memories of their time together.  So in Georges 84 years the illness that most affected Dad was Breast Cancer.  Therefore we have chosen Breakthrough Breast Cancer as Georges Floral Contribution charity.
