Story
It's about 20 years since I seriously rode a bike and I'm getting back in the saddle!
The carer's trust are a charity who support young carers aged 14 - 25 who live in our communities and have taken on practical and emotional caring responsibilities for a family member or friend who cannot cope without their support.
Having looked after family members myself I can't imagine how hard some of these young carers have to work to juggle school and home life with very little support. I was lucky to have Liz supporting me through some of our toughest times but for some young people they face this alone!
So I'm getting back in the saddle and giving challenging myself to the Manchester to Blackpool ride. My mate Chris will be joining me for the ride.
Not only will it be a tough day but imagine the bum ache we'll have for the few days after! Even that will be nothing in comparison to the days and nights our young carers face!
Please consider donating even £1 can make a huge difference!
Thanks all
Mike :-)
