Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My sister in law, Valerie, died recently of cancer. She was cared for in her last days at the Woking Hospice and named it as one of her chosen charities. Valerie, a nurse, had worked there herself and held it in high regard, first from a professional and later from a personal perspective.
In memory of Valerie, I ran the Brighton Marathon on 15th April 2012 to raise money for the Hospice. Yes, I have actually completed a marathon - I can't believe it. It wasn't pretty (tore my hamstring at mile 5 but managed to continue) and certainly wasn't fast but I did it. Valerie was with me every step of the way.
I would be grateful if you would still like to sponsor me in my venture to help ensure that others can be cared for as well as Valerie was, through the wonderful hospice movement. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Woking Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Cash and cheque donations (made payable to me or "Woking Hospice" are also very welcome.Thank you very much.
