Story
First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
Running the London Marathon has always been an ambition of mine and I am so happy to finally be doing it for an amazing charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
In Summer of 2022, my life-long friend Kathryn very sadly passed away in my arms at my family home after a tragic accident. The impact this has had on my life is something I could never put into words, but I am determined to help others (and myself) by doing something in memory of her.
Kathryn was the kindest person I knew and would always be the first to help anyone. She had been volunteering for Hearing Dogs for 3 years, and it was a charity she was very fond of, as am I. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People believes that nobody with deafness or hearing loss should feel alone. This is why they train dogs that help deaf children and adults to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life. With your donations, this is something that you can be part of too. Every penny you donate will help to fund the ongoing support of Hearing Dogs and change the lives of deaf children and adults.
I am not a natural runner (nor am I built like one!), so this challenge is going to be very tough for me, but each step I take in training is made easier knowing I am doing it in memory of a special friend and remarkable woman, whilst raising money for a Charity that was so close to her heart.
The hole Kathryns passing has left in many of our lives will never be filled, but I hope by doing the London Marathon in memory of her, we can celebrate the wonderful mother, wife and friend that she was.
We all love and miss you so much and hope we are doing you proud.
Finally, if you could please donate any amount, big or small, it would truly mean the world to me. I am so grateful for your support and any donation you can give helps make this gruelling winter training all worth while!
Thank you once again, Liv xx
