Story
Running the 2021 London Marathon was a little (well, rather big) challenge which helped heal part of the huge hole left in my heart when my second mum, auntie Ann, lost her battle with cancer. This was far more of a challenge for my mind than my muscles, but was physical proof that if I could put my body through something I believed was unachievable, my brain was strong enough to cope with grieving for someone who should still be with us.
I could write so much here about my auntie Ann, but no words hold the weight of the profound impact which she had on my life. In her legacy, I’m on a mission to raise funds for families affected by cancer.
Sunday October 2nd. Another 26.2 miles.
(and many, many long and lonely training runs in the meantime! ❤️🩹)
Please dig deep and donate if you can. It truly means so much.
